Life Journeys
Life Journeys tells the stories of people who live in the U.S. and who were born in another country.
For most people we asked 6 questions related to their inspiration, challenges, coping approaches, community and aspirations.
What we got were inspiring snapshots of their life's journey. We've displayed three main journeys Survivors, Business Women, and Families.
Solidarity
Solidarity showcases the individuals, and organizations who have taken initiative to support immigrants and their families.
Latinos En Foco, a nyc based photography group unites to create a variety of photography projects from recycling to women empowerment. Most recently they are creating the project Yo Inmigrante which strives to display immigrants in a positive light.
Ayuda supports immigrants in D.C., Maryland and Virginia by providing legal, social and language access services.
CARECEN’s provides direct services to the Latino population in the Washington metropolitan region, while promoting grassroots empowerment, civic engagement, and human rights advocacy.
